COMFORT FOOD WITH A TWIST
Welcome to Red Crown Restaurant of Grosse Pointe Park - a place of great history, outstanding service and a culinary experience in a unique environment that envelopes you in a bit of the past.
Our goal, like it says on our sign, is to offer a constantly evolving selection of local farm-to-table “Quality Eats” to families from the Pointes and the surrounding metro Detroit communities, and to discerning “foodies” visiting this area. We take what you know and like, and flip it a little bit.
Built in 1932, Red Crown sits in a historic art deco building that operated for over 70 years as a Standard Oil Gas Station. Our outdoor patio, the largest restaurant patio in the Pointes, features tables spaced 12 ft. apart to help you safely enjoy your meals. To achieve this space, previous customers may notice that we reconfigured our parking lot and relocated our herb garden up closer to the building. Our newly renovated interior welcomes limited numbers of guests by reservation only.
Today’s Red Crown Restaurant, much like its original building, serves as a central gathering place for local folks and travelers passing through town. Today’s modern restaurant maintains a vintage 1932 heritage of providing important services to our customers in a welcoming, professional, clean, reliable, safe environment close to neighborhoods and a thriving business district.
